Good morning!

As always, Juniper was bright and perky this morning. I love seeing those big eyes.

Rose's eyes are looking big and bright now too! It's a wonder what some eye drops can do for a girl!

Playtime with Rose

Rose is so cute. She likes to play peek-a-boo under the dining table with me and the pups. It is absolutely adorable.

Ribbons are super fun too! She really loves to chase them!

Window Seat

Juniper is a feeling lots better! She has been snuggling on the couch with me and enjoying her new spot next to the window. What a sweetie!

She likes to play too!

Juniper on the mend...

Little Miss Juniper got to come home from the vet today! The poor girl had an abscess on her neck which required a drain and some stitches. We got the drain removed today and will have the stitches removed next Monday. Until then, she is snuggling and cuddling with me while she heals up.

Rose loves pups!

Rose finally got to meet the doggies that she had been nuzzling through the baby gate all week. The good news is she LOVES dogs! She has been following my terrier Mamah everywhere and has been giving her lots of kisses! She is such a love bug!

Study Break!

I desperately needed a study break this morning, so into the kitten room I ran to see my little ones! Jasmine was as always the first to smother me in kisses and love. She is a licker and so adoring.

Miss Rose purred while I petter her in the kitty tree. She is so forgiving and loves me even though I have to give her her eye meds. She is such a special girl with so much patience and love for a kitten.

Cedar has become the love bug I knew he could be and rolled over on his back for belly rubs.

He is such a handsome little man with his cute half milk mustache.

Eye on the Mend!

Rose came to us with a serious case of conjunctivitis in her left eye. She could barely see out of her eye and was very scared. Thankfully with the help of our vet and some magical eye drops, which Rose takes like an angel. Her eyes are wide open once more! Every day her eye is a little clearer and brighter! In another week I should be able to see them sparkle.

Moving in!

Rose and Cedar have moved into the big kitten room with Jasmine. They are all having a great time! Cedar is starting to play with every toy he can find!

Rose is showing that she can be as playful as she is snuggly!

Last but definitely not least, miss Jasmine is the princess of cardboard scratchers as long as she can cuddle afterwards!

Shy Cedar

Cedar has really started to warm up in the past few days. He went from hiding in his carrier to purring in my arms while I rub his belly! He has turned into a total sweetheart! Yay!

Adoption Event Debut

The younger kittens debuted at the Tysons Petsmart this afternoon and were quite a hit! Juniper and Cypress were both adopted by great families. Jasmine wasn't adopted, so she spent most of the adoption event zooming around the store in my arms licking my nose. She met lots of people and made some puppy friends too!

Making some potpourri...

I was looking for some kittens to keep my current foster kitten Twizzler company, when LDCRF came across this assortment of six kittens ranging in age from 10 weeks to 6 months at the Clarke County Animal Shelter. I didn't want to leave anyone behind, so we all piled into the car and away we went.

Our first stop was to see the Blue Ridge Vets. The kittens got check ups, combo tests, and vaccines so that they would be all ready for adoption. Cedar, Rose, Cypress, Jasmine, and Juniper would stay overnight and get spayed and neutered in the morning. Cinnamon was already set to go so we headed home to meet Twizzler. She snoozed happily in the carrier and nuzzled my fingers.

Cinnamon

It turned out that Cinnamon would much rather be a single kitty. So she headed to the Tysons Petsmart where she was quickly adopted. She is so gorgeous that it was no surprise! I picked up the other kittens from the vet and my second set of introductions to Twizzler went much better! The younger kittens Juniper, Cypress, and Jasmine really hit it off and took over the big kitten room. Juniper was happiest in my lap and just wanted to cuddle.

Cypress bounced around playing with every toy in his path.

Cypress - 10 week old boy

Jasmine explored every cubby hole and then started to lick my fingers.

The older kittens were understandably overwhelmed so they got to stay in the guest suite aka our extra bathroom. Rose was so loving. She cuddled in my lap and purred as I scratched her chin and rubbed her ears. The poor little girl has a bad case of conjunctivitis in her left eye so she will have to take eye drops for the next month. Thankfully she takes them like an angel.

Rose - 6 month old girl

Cedar was very scared and hid in his carrier while I loved on miss Rose. Eventually he came out and started to play in the water, then he went back into his carrier for some alone time. Poor little guy is really overwhelmed, but I'm sure he will be quite the little love when he warms up.
